In celebration of Women’s Month, Nyara Youth Development hosted a heartfelt Women’s Wellness Day — a day dedicated to care, dignity, and connection. The event brought together the women in our community for free health checks, mammograms, reusable sanitary pads, and moments of encouragement, laughter, and shared understanding.

The day was a reminder that strong women build strong families and strong communities. From the health screenings to the personal conversations that followed, it was more than just a wellness event — it was a day of renewal, where the women in our community could pause, breathe, and focus on their own wellbeing.

One special highlight came when the women in our community received their sanitary gift packs, each containing a message of encouragement and care. One message read, “I love all parts of me.”

When asked how this message made her feel, one woman responded: “As a woman, it’s very important that you love and accept your body the way it is.”

It was a deeply moving moment that reminded everyone present of the strength found in self-acceptance and community support. After their check-ups, many came out smiling — feeling cared for, seen, and appreciated. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, warmth, and gratitude, showing that even small gestures of care can have a profound impact.

The event included:

  • Free Mammogram Testing for women aged 40 and above
  • Menstrual Health Talk, offering a safe and open space for questions and discussion
  • Free Reusable Sanitary Pads, given to take home for continued use
  • Wellness Support and Resources, helping the women in our community connect with care and information

We are deeply grateful to our partners and sponsors, especially Radiant Diagnostic, whose generosity made this day possible.

Their support ensured that the women in our community had access to vital health services and wellness resources.

Women’s Wellness Day 2025 was more than an event — it was a celebration of strength, compassion, and community care. At Nyara Youth Development, we remain committed to connecting the unconnected and ensuring that every woman in every village has access to the support she deserves to live well and thrive.
