A New Home for Growth: Nyara Youth Development’s Journey
During Youth Week, Nyara Youth Development celebrated a landmark moment: the unveiling of our new building, a space full of hope, learning, and opportunity. This building is more than just bricks and mortar—it is a safe hub for growth, a foundation for change, and a place where rural youth can thrive through our flagship LEAP Ladder Programme.
The new home symbolized resilience, possibility, and commitment. While the building was not completely finished at the time, it already served as a safe space for young people to explore, learn, and grow. With the support of our partners and community, we turned a vision into reality.

At the heart of our work is the LEAP Ladder Programme, designed to empower rural youth with the skills, experience, and mentorship they need to succeed. Through the programme, participants gained:
- Hands-on experience in tutoring, youth coaching, agriculture, caregiving, and more.
- Skill development, including both technical and soft skills.
- Guidance and mentorship to navigate challenges and grow confidently.
- Community and networking opportunities to connect with peers and leaders.
The programme ensured that rural youth had access to the same opportunities, resources, and support as anyone else, helping them unlock their potential and take meaningful steps in their personal and professional lives.
